Did I spook you?

So, did I scare you? I mean, I haven't been around for a while. Well, the reason for this is I've been awfully busy, with homework and stuff. Yes, us dust people have homework too, and I still have lots more to do. Recently, I've been spending time training Royce. So far, he's learned  to roll over, lay on his back, and ....well...eat.

Erm...I'll work on that some more. I'll talk to you guys a little later

I think I need to spice this up

I was thinking that perhaps I need to take a holiday. Mind you, not just leave and not post in this blog. I was thinking instead that I would take a holiday and write a trip report. Now, a trip report is when someone does something or goes somewhere new and then explains what the experience was like. Now, I want to do that. I think what I will do is take a trip and do a trip report.

Now, my dust village is great and all, but I can't spend all my time there. I need some variety. Now I've been thinking of some possible places to go. I could visit the Refridgerator. There's great food, sights to see, and the Freezer that a great Dust Valley Ski lodge. I always wanted to try skiing.

Or their is the kitchen counter. There's surfing at the kitchen sink, cupboard climbing, sunbathing near the window, and the sauna by the oven. It's quite a tempting idea.

And of course, there's the entertainment room. You can lounge on a pool table, watch the giant television, or get something nice and cool to drink.

All of these are pretty good ideas, I think. But it leaves me with the trouble of having to decide. I'm sure Royce would enjoy playing in the snow, but  I dunno if I wanna take a full vacation at the fridge.. I mean it would get pretty cold...Still...

It's so hard to choose. But I'll keep you all updated and let you know when I make a choice.

Is being a hero a reliable job?

I've been considering this job as a hero, and I can't help but wonder if it's a viable career options.

I mean, what kind of benefits will this job offer me?

And what about job security? I mean, come on, how long is being a hero a good job? And by that I mean, villains can't last forever, and without villains, what is a hero supposed to do?

The plus sides of being a hero is that if you want to be someone who makes the world a better place, and I'd like to think I'm one of those type of dust people, being a hero is a great job.

But as these are no longer the days of chivalry, and of knights on steeds, so villains can be short on supply, depending on where you live, I guess.

I'm not planning on giving up being a hero, it was just a thought I had

Lazy Days

Hey everyone, Darryl here. I had a big article planned, but the Felicia decided we should all take a nap, so I've decided I'm gonna be lazy just for today. Besides, I'm pretty sure I've got a few sick days, so I'll just use one of those. Funny thing about cats is that they have a philosophy. Cats believe that all living things and objects in the universe should pile all up on each other and promptly fall asleep. It certainly is a cozy philosophy. Well I'm gonna go get my pillow and blanket and grab a nap. I'll have a better update next time.

A bit of my family history

During the more primitive times of my home's dust heritage, were known to humans as the 1970's. It was during this era that my most famous ancestor had lived. His name was Percevil. Good 'ol Great great great great great great...great great grandpa Percevil. Back in his day, being a "hero" wasn't considered crazy, it was a great career option. And old gramps was no slouch, I'll tell you. Grandpa Percevil was one of the bravest heroes in the land, during his time. I've heard many a tales of him rescuing dust damsels in distress, slaying lint dragons, I heard he even fought a spider... AND WON! Oh sure, I bet you humans aren't so impressed by that, but spiders are much much bigger than us dust people.  Grandpa Percevil became a hero at a young age, and remained one until his retirement in the human year of 1982. I say human year because us dust folk don't keep track of what year it is. We're dust. The way we keep track of something is by saying it's " now" , "long ago", "long long ago" or "even longer ago".  Sure, it's not much, but it works fine for us. Eh, anyway, Grandpappy Percevil's greatest act was said to be the time he rescued the fair Princess Alanna of the Royal Dust family (who lived in the Old Grandfather Clock) from the evil Lint King, whose wicked kingdom resided in an automatic dryer. It was his greatest act because the Lint King was a scourge on the dust people of our land, and also, Princess Alanna would later marry Grandfather Percevil, and she became my great great great (you get the idea) Grandmother. It must have been great to live in those times. I only hope I can one day become a great hero, like my grandfather.

Testing...Testing...1...2...NOOOOOO!!

Well, that test didn't go so well. Anyway, Hi my name is Darryl . I'm a dust person. Oh, you don't know what that is? Well, I'm a person, just like you...except I'm made of dust. Spring cleaning is our worst enemy... Ok, so apparently I'm doing this blog thing..on...an...internet-thingy. You have to understand, I don't know much about computers. When it comes to computers, we dust folk usually spend most of our time under the keys of a keyboard.

So, this is my blog. Do you like me yet?

Fortunately, I will not be facing this job alone. I will, of course, be assisted by my obedient dust puppy, Royce, and a friend of ours named Felicia. Felicia is a persian cat! Isn't that cool?

Well, anyway, we have a lot of work to do before we are fully ready to get this show on the road, but I'll keep you posted
